As one of Austria’s largest property owners, our focus is on public infrastructure, which includes school and university buildings and special properties. Through our subsidiary ARE Austrian Real Estate, we concentrate on managing and developing office and residential properties as well as fully integrated urban-development projects.

Our portfolio
We specialise in educational spaces such as schools and universities as well as highly complex -special properties and develop efficient solutions that offer sustainable value. This is reflected in our portfolio, which includes some 400 schools, more than 200 university buildings, around 800 special properties and almost 600 office and residential properties in Austria. Our business divisions serve as the central points of contact for our partners.

To this end, we continuously develop and optimise the property strategy, take care of revenue optimisation, implement construction measures, and provide all-round support for your property.

BIG ART
BIG ART interweaves art and architecture in permanent and temporary art projects at selected public buildings managed by Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft.
Art should happen in selected, perhaps even surprising places: Where many people – including young people in particular – study, work, learn, come and go in successful architecture. Here, art is given a chance to become part of the ensemble. In our inventory there are several thousand works of art and items of interest from a historical preservation point of view. Like our properties, this heritage must also be maintained.
